About the role
You will lead day-to-day delivery of advisory and development-sector assignments, from mobilisation through closeout. You will turn the agreed scope into a delivery plan, coordinate workstream leads and give the engagement lead and client a clear picture of decisions, risks and commitments.
What you’ll do
Mobilisation and planning
- Translate scope and contractual deliverables into milestones, dependencies, budget assumptions and review points. Clarify who owns each task and what acceptance looks like.
Delivery, budget and risk
- Track progress and forecast delays or budget pressures. Keep a risk and issue register, agree mitigation with workstream owners and escalate decisions that require senior input.
- Keep records of scope changes, approvals and dependencies. Explain the impact of proposed changes on timetable, cost and delivery.
Client coordination and closeout
- Lead delivery meetings and maintain concise decision and action logs. Prepare status updates that explain what changed, why it matters and what needs approval.
- Coordinate technical and quality reviews before submission. At closeout, confirm acceptance, organise deliverables and evidence, and record lessons for future work.
What you’ll bring
- Delivery experience. Experience coordinating several workstreams in advisory, professional services or development programmes.
- Planning and control. Ability to use workplans, budgets and risk registers to make decisions and surface issues early.
- Stakeholder management. Clear written and verbal communication with clients, technical teams and senior reviewers. Ability to manage dependencies when priorities change.
Useful experience. Experience with donor reporting, procurement or contract administration would be useful for assignments with formal reporting requirements.
What success looks like
The client can see progress against agreed milestones, review decisions in time and receive deliverables with a clear record of approvals.
