Statutory Audit

Independent audit opinion

Scope of work

What the engagement covers

A statutory audit gives shareholders, directors and other readers an independent opinion on the financial statements. We plan our work around how your organisation records transactions, the balances and estimates that could materially affect the accounts, and the evidence available to support them.

At planning, we agree the timetable and request the records needed for the audit. Depending on your organisation, these may include the trial balance, reconciliations, key contracts, inventory records and schedules supporting significant estimates. We raise material questions during fieldwork so your team can address them before sign-off.

What you receive

  • An independent auditor’s report under the applicable reporting and auditing framework.
  • Communication with management and those charged with governance on significant audit matters.
  • Where relevant, observations on control weaknesses, their implications and practical follow-up.

For a proposal, tell us the reporting period, the entities in scope and your intended sign-off date.
